The famous "The Bar jacket" - the Dior fashion house's calling card - was first presented in 1947 during the show of the "The New Look" collection. It took its name from the bar at the Plaza Athénée in Paris, which Christian Dior visited, and which was located near his studio and shop in Paris. The jacket is characterized by a unique and timeless hourglass shape. From the very beginning, it was loved by the extraordinary actress, Princess of Monaco - Grace Kelly. It quickly became a symbol of the elite. Aristocrats wore it during afternoon cocktails in the grand hotels of Paris.
