The famous "The Bar jacket" - the calling card of the Dior fashion house - was first presented in 1947 during the "The New Look" collection show. It took its name from the bar at Plaza Athénée in Paris, which Christian Dior frequented, and which was located near his studio and shop in Paris. The jacket is characterized by a unique and timeless hourglass shape. From the very beginning, he was loved by an extraordinary actress, the Princess of Monaco - Grace Kelly. It quickly became a symbol of the elite. Aristocrats wore it during afternoon cocktails in the grand hotels of Paris.
